Meet the Doctors of Greater Houston Orthodontics
Choosing a practice with a full specialist team is different from choosing a solo office, and for many families the difference matters more than they expect. Orthodontic treatment usually unfolds over many months, sometimes a couple of years, so the depth and stability of the practice behind your care has a real, day-to-day impact. With three board-certified orthodontists under one roof, our patients benefit from:
- Shared expertise on complex cases. When a case is unusual or challenging, our doctors can consult one another, so you get the benefit of three specialists’ experience rather than one. Between them, our doctors bring backgrounds in research, complex surgical-orthodontic cases, and the latest aligner techniques.
- Dependable scheduling and coverage. With a team across two locations, it is easier to find appointment times that fit school, work, and family life, and your treatment keeps moving forward smoothly even around vacations or busy seasons.
- Consistent standards. All three doctors are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics and practice to the same high, evidence-based standard, so the quality of your care stays the same whichever doctor you see.
- Continuity over a long treatment. Because the whole team works from the same plan and records, your care is never dependent on a single person’s calendar. The plan made for you is the plan that gets carried out.
It is the depth of a large practice combined with the warmth of a team that genuinely knows its patients.
Every smile starts with a complimentary consultation. One of our orthodontists will review your concerns, examine your teeth and bite, and walk you through the options in plain language, with no pressure and no jargon. If treatment makes sense, you will leave understanding what is recommended, roughly how long it will take, and what the investment looks like.
From there, your personalized treatment plan is the team’s shared roadmap. You will build a relationship with your doctor over the course of treatment, while still having the reassurance that the full team’s expertise stands behind every decision. Whether your path is Invisalign, braces, early treatment for a child, or care for a more complex bite, the goal is the same: a healthy, confident smile, delivered with as little disruption to your life as possible.
Once treatment begins, most patients come in every several weeks for brief adjustment visits, and our two locations make those check-ins easy to fit around school and work. For Invisalign and many other treatments, the team uses digital scanning in place of the messy molds patients used to dread, so appointments tend to be faster and more comfortable. Your treatment fee covers the essentials of that journey, including diagnostic records, your appliances, regular visits, and a set of retainers once active treatment is finished, along with follow-up retention visits to help keep your new smile stable. The aim is a process that stays clear and predictable from the first consultation to the day your braces or aligners come off.

A Team United by Credentials
Board certification is voluntary, and only about half of orthodontists earn it. At Greater Houston Orthodontics, all three of our doctors are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, a shared standard that is rare for a single practice. The American Board of Orthodontics, founded in 1929, is the oldest specialty board in dentistry, and maintaining Diplomate status calls for ongoing examination and recertification, not a one-time test. As a Blue Diamond Plus Invisalign Provider, the practice also holds one of Invisalign’s highest provider tiers, a designation earned through a high volume of successful aligner treatment. Whether your care calls for Invisalign, braces, or more specialized treatment, you are in the hands of credentialed specialists.
Two Convenient Houston Locations
Our team practices across two offices, making expert orthodontic care easy to reach from across the area. Our West University office at 4191 Bellaire Blvd, Ste 275, Houston, TX 77025 serves West University, Bellaire, Braeswood, Meyerland, the Medical Center, and the inside-the-Loop neighborhoods. Our Memorial office at 9412 Gaylord Dr, Houston, TX 77024 serves Memorial, the Memorial Villages, Hunters Creek, and the Spring Branch corridor. Both offices offer the same doctors, the same technology, and the same standard of care, so you are welcome to choose whichever location is most convenient for you. Because your records and treatment plan are shared across the practice, you can be seen at either office without missing a beat.
What Our Patients Say
Across both offices, families consistently describe our doctors as kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their results. Patients mention Dr. Mehr’s encouragement at every visit, Dr. Panos’s patience and clear explanations, and a team that fixes problems without judgment and treats families like their own. Our 4.9-star rating across 500-plus reviews reflects that experience. We invite you to read the reviews and see why patients across Houston, and some who drive in from well beyond it, choose Greater Houston Orthodontics.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all the doctors at Greater Houston Orthodontics board-certified?
Yes. All three of our orthodontists, Dr. Davoody, Dr. Mehr, and Dr. Kyteas, are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification is voluntary and only about half of orthodontists earn it, so having an entire team certified is uncommon for a single practice.
